Hello Parents! Our registration is OPEN and LIVE and our calendar is updated with the dates of all of our practices.

Please read this entire page.

Our season starts on Monday, November 1!

Facility update: We will be practicing at a new facility, a warehouse behind Camp Bow Wow on Route 83.

Please read this page, as it contains important information about this season. If you have any questions, contact Head Coach Gary Walker at

We are entering our third season as a club and we are beyond excited to announce that we have finally found a facility that we can call home. We will train at the warehouse that is located at 645 S. IL Rte 83 Frontage Road, which is directly behind Camp Bow Wow. Our club recently purchased two custom, brand new Dollamur wrestling mats, which will be delivered in September. Securing this facility was vital to the growth of our club. We now have the freedom to offer practices every day of the week and give all three of our “levels” their own practice times with overlap only on Thursday nights.

Our team is welcoming to boys and girls alike. In fact, women's wrestling is growing unbelievably fast and many states even have a separate state championship for girls at the high school level. And did you happen to catch Tamyra Mensah-Stock win gold for us in Tokyo?!

Where do our club fees go? We purchased two brand new mats, we pay rent for our practice facility, we pay some of our coaches, and included in each registration is a mandatory $50 USAW insurance card and ETWA shirt/short combo.

Siblings get a 25% discount per registration after the initial registration.

Our coaches fully understand that youth sports are a time of exploration where our kids are figuring out what they love. So if your son or daughter ever has a conflict with practices or competitions, that's ok.

Practices are closed to parents.

We have three different age groups/practice groups.

Age Groups/Practice Groups:

“ETWA Future Olympians”

-Grades 1st - 3rd

-Wednesday nights only, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

-Season runs from November 3, 2021 - January 26, 2022

-COST includes a mandatory USA Wrestling insurance card and an ETWA t-shirt/shorts combo: $290.00

-Due to this particular age group’s needs, we ask that a certain number of parents attend practices to help out Coach Klatt and the coaching staff. If you are interested, please email Coach Walker at to discuss your potential involvement. No prior wrestling experience is required.

-For our select 3rd graders who are a bit more mature, coachable, and physically and technically able, we encourage them to attend our “Developmental” practices for one additional night (see Coach Walker for more information).

“ETWA Developmental Practices”

-Grades 4th - 6th

-Tuesday  & Thursday nights, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

-Season runs from November 1, 2021 - February 3, 2022

-COST includes a mandatory USA Wrestling insurance card and an ETWA t-shirt/shorts combo: $445.00

-The “Developmental” practices are for wrestlers who are new to the sport or who are still developing.

-This group will not attend tournaments; however, they may compete in dual meets (if they want) where/when our coaching staff is able to find them an opponent who matches their age, weight, and experience level.

-For our select “Developmental” wrestlers who are able and interested, speak to Coach Walker about potentially attending our Friday “Advanced” practices to further their development; understand that this will be strictly on a case-by-case basis.

“ETWA Advanced Practices”

-Grades 5th - 8th

-Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and Saturdays 10:00 am to noon.

-Season runs from November 2, 2021, thru the IKWF State Championships in mid-March, 2022

-COST includes a mandatory USA Wrestling insurance card and a ETWA t-shirt/shorts combo: $615.00

-The “Advanced” practices are for wrestlers who are experienced and are mentally and emotionally developed to handle this practice schedule.

-This group will attend tournaments (if they want to and if they are ready) and compete in dual meets throughout the season. The goal of this group is to develop into competitors who, by the end of the season, will be prepared to compete at Regionals, Sectionals, and State.

-If your athlete is in 7th or 8th grade and they are beginners and still developing, we will work with them separately during these practices.
